The Flavors of Haverstraw Food Crawl – Sunday, September 24, 2023 – 1-5pm
//Food Crawl Map coming in September//
RAIN OR SHINE – We are located 35 miles north of NYC in Rockland County.
Haverstraw Riverwide Arts and the Village of Haverstraw, NY are celebrating the diverse culinary options Downtown with the 9th annual “Flavors of Haverstraw Food Crawl” – a small plates or tapas-focused food sampling. The Crawl begins in the Webster Bank lot: 38 New Main St.
Over 20 restaurants are participating. Tastings are $5-$10 per plate. New Main, Broadway, Main St. and West St. will be closed to vehicular traffic. Tents, tables and chairs will be set up for patrons on New Main and Main St. if they choose not to eat indoors.
The Village of Haverstraw is North Rockland’s only historic downtown and is a most befitting location to host the Food Crawl given its vibrancy, walkability and it’s famously dense collection of distinguished restaurants and artisan food makers. Downtown is a burgeoning scene of food-focused entrepreneurship, arts, historic buildings, restoration and preservation.
During your restaurant visit, stop at the NY CRAFT BEVERAGE GARDEN on Broadway and Main. This outdoor garden will feature local craft beer by Sing Sing Kill Brewery, Stony Point Brewing Co., Stone Yard Brewing and Two Ladders Brewing. 21 and up to enter. NO ID? No entry.
The NY Waterway Ferry will run for FREE during the Food Crawl to provide access from NYC, CT, Westchester and other points east (12:20 PM until 5:40 PM). Parking is available at the Ossining MetroNorth Railroad Station. The ferry crosses the river between the Ossining MetroNorth Railroad Station and the Dr. Girling Drive ferry landing in Haverstraw. A free shuttle from the ferry landing in Haverstraw to the Crawl will be available, though the event is walkable along West Street to Downtown (6 blocks north – 12 minutes). Drop-off and pick-up during the Crawl is located at 40 New Main St. across from Village Hall, Haverstraw.
Parking lots are located across from Village Hall – 40 New Main St, 52 Maple lot located next to Fire Department-Coseriff Hose Co 4, and in the Knights of Columbus lot – 56 West Broad St.
New Main Street, Main St., West St., and Broadway at Main St. will be closed to vehicular traffic. Street parking on adjacent streets is available.
