My name is Mary J. D’Urso. I was born and raised in Rockland County, NY. Photography has always been my passion since my high school days. My Dad had a love of art. I believe he passed that on to me. He could draw anything, He also had a love of photography.
I learned my basic photography skills on a Minolta 35mm film camera. I remember keeping track of my exposure values in a notebook for each frame shot. After I developed the film I would go back and check the print with the exposure value to see if the result was what I was trying to accomplish. Things are much easier in recent days in the digital world. Results of course are instant.
I am now shooting with a Nikon DSLR D7100. I have a variety of lenses. I use Lightroom and Photoshop to edit all my images. My favorite subject to photograph is a well lit landscape. I prefer early morning or early evening lighting. It makes me truly happy to come back from a shoot and see my results on the screen.
I am always trying to teach myself new skills and improve my photography. I will always have a love for the camera and nature. I hope you enjoy seeing my work. If you would like to make a purchase, I would be thrilled and honored for you to have one of my prints.
